Constell Podcast ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and subscription service at https://podcast.constell.online.

- Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, display name, and profile picture from Google. We use this to identify you and display your name in the app.
- Playback data: We store which episodes you have played, your playback progress (for resuming), and favorites. This is stored in Firebase and linked to your account.
- Subscription data: When you subscribe, our payment processor (Paddle) collects payment information. We receive subscription status (active/inactive) and linking data (your Firebase user ID) via webhooks. We do not store your full payment details.
- Usage data: We may collect device type, browser, and general usage patterns to improve the service.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide and maintain the Service; authenticate you; sync playback progress and favorites across devices; process subscriptions and manage access; send transactional emails (e.g., receipts via Paddle); improve the Service; and comply with legal obligations.
4. Payment Processing (Paddle)
Payments are processed by Paddle. Paddle collects and processes payment information in accordance with their Privacy Policy. We receive only subscription status and linking identifiers, not your full payment details.
5. Data Storage and Security
We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, Firestore for data storage, and Firebase Storage for audio files. These services provide industry-standard security. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and local storage for:
- Essential: Authentication sessions (Firebase), preferences, and security. These are required for the service to function.
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics (Firebase Analytics) to understand usage patterns and improve the service.
- Payment: Paddle may set cookies during checkout.
By using our service, you consent to our use of cookies as described in this policy. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent the service from working properly.
7. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar)
Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access your data; correct inaccurate data; delete your data; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and withdraw consent. 7a. Account Deletion and Data Removal
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. To do so, email us at support@constell.online with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account. We will delete or anonymize your account data (including authentication record, playback progress, favorites, and subscription linking data) within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements (e.g., for completed transactions). If you have an active subscription, you must cancel it first via the Paddle customer portal (Settings → Manage subscription).
8. Data Retention
We retain your account and playback data for as long as your account is active. Subscription data is retained as needed for billing and compliance. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, subject to legal retention requirements.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us at support@constell.online.
10. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States, European Union, or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. We take appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) where required by law.
